UASA President Viktor Popov Meets ASD Leadership to Deepen Cooperation
On May 13, 2025, an important meeting took place between Viktor Popov, President of the Aerospace Association of Ukraine, and Mr. Jan Pie, Secretary General of the European AeroSpace and Defence Association (ASD). Ihor Fomenko, Head of FRU Defense, also joined the event.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues concerning the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the European aerospace and defense community. Special attention was given to the main directions of Ukraine’s defense industry euro-integration, knowledge exchange, implementation of advanced technologies, and involving Ukrainian enterprises in international high-tech projects.

President Viktor Popov emphasized that establishing close cooperation with ASD opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian companies, helps implement European standards, and supports Ukraine’s integration into the single European security space. The meeting participants agreed on the importance of further work on joint initiatives and identified concrete steps to deepen the partnership.
ASD Secretary General Jan Pie praised the high level of the Ukrainian aerospace sector and pointed out that the European community is interested in Ukraine’s involvement in joint programs and mutually beneficial cooperation.
